Critical Tasks to be performed
Drain cooling tower sump and clean basin
Change gearbox oil
Clean cooling towers and sump, inspect and repair as necessary: woodwork, plastic work, valves, spray nozzles, fans, pipe work and repair any cracks in the basin
Paint woodwork if applicable, with suitable preservative
Check and adjust fan blade pitch angle of the cooling tower, if applicable
Check bearing and change if necessary
Remove and clean eliminators and fills
Overhaul all valves and lubricate spindles
Check bearing bolts, fan anti-vibration mountings, tighten or replace if necessary
Inspect, repair or replace as necessary all electrical works
Other recommended tasks
Inspect all cooling tower inlet louvers and replace if necessary
Clean fan guard and cover; check cover for tightness and paint
Paint the cooling tower
Inspect fill tile for foreign debris
Check motors and starters
Check alignment of fan shaft coupling
Insulation test for all electrical motors
Change screen in basin if necessary
Notes
